Susan E. Abitanta is Of Counsel with the Law Offices of Ian Herzog. Her practice focuses on consumer and employment class action litigation. She represents large groups of workers who have been illegally denied overtime pay and other benefits required under California law.
Ms. Abitanta earned her J.D., cum laude, at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 1983. She was Assistant Editor-In-Chief of SMU’s Southwestern Law Journal, a member of Phi Delta Phi, and graduated Order of the Coif.
Ms. Abitanta was named a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2009 and 2010, and is a member of the LA County Bar Association, LACBA Litigation Inns of Court, Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA). She has authored several class action articles for various legal publications, and a number of amicus curiae letters and briefs on behalf of class action plaintiffs. She is a frequent seminar speaker on class action topics and developments.
